Jeju Flounder Co., Ltd. was established to develop Jeju Flounder into a global brand by industrializing Jeju's specialized flounders and exploring new overseas markets, as the first organization in fisheries to be selected for the ministry for food, agriculture, forestry and fisheries' Metropolitan Cluster Activation Support Project in 2009 In December 2009, we were converted from the Jeju Halibut Cluster Team to the Jeju Flounder Co., Ltd. to actively promote sales in and out of Korea, pursuing our goal to share safe seafood from the clean waters of Jeju with the world. Participating Organizations Participating organizations include organizations from academics industries, research and administration, such as the Ministry for Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Jeju Special Self-governing Province, Jeju Eco-friendly Halibut Cooperative Corporation, Jeju Fish Farming Cooperative, Ilchulbong Cooperative Corporation, Haeyeon Fisheries, Haemalgeum Fisheries, Samjeong Live Fish, Liisna Co., Ltd., EM Environment Co., Ltd., Jeju National University, Pukyong National University, Kangwon National University, Korea Agro-fisheries Trade Corporation Jeju Office and jeju Special Self-governing Province Ocean & Fisheries Institute.
